09/03/2026
The International Workshop on Water Scarcity Mitigation, organised under the AQUAMAN project, will take place on 19 May 2026 in Piraeus (Piraeus Sailing Club) in a hybrid format (in person and via livestream).

The workshop -organised by the partner Technical University of Athens- will bring together policymakers, technical experts, project partners, and stakeholders to discuss strategic, governance, and technical approaches to addressing water scarcity in island and coastal areas. The programme includes high-level policy discussions on sustainable water management, the integration of water reuse and Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), and the role of tourism and transnational cooperation in strengthening resilience.

Participants will also explore practical technical solutions for circular water use, including the presentation of the AQUAMAN “Blue Horizons” Catalogue, with a focus on feasibility, adaptability, and replication potential across Mediterranean territories. A dedicated youth session will highlight emerging perspectives on water resilience, followed by concluding remarks and a networking lunch.
